There is no one-size-fits-all pet insurance plan, but ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is a great option for many pet owners. The Complete Coverage plan features unique coverage categories that are more comprehensive than other providers on the market and wellness add-ons that may be particularly attractive to owners of new puppies or kittens. ASPCA is one of the best pet insurance companies in the industry with reimbursement rates as high as 100%, which is uncommon to find elsewhere.

Pros

  • Annual deductibles as low as $100
  • No Lifetime Payout Limits
  • 270 days to submit a claim before expiration
  • Will not raise the price of your policy for filing a claim
  • Fast cash back with claims reimbursed in an average of 9 days or 30 days max
  • 30-day money-back guarantee if no claims have been filed
  • Discounts for multi-pet enrollment
  • Coverage for microchipping without a supplemental wellness plan

Cons

  • Cannot pay the vet directly
  • Does not cover bilateral conditions

Expert Insights

Is ASPCA Pet Insurance good?

"ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is a top-rated provider and one of the most established brands in the industry. Their Complete Coverage℠ plan is one of the most comprehensive options you can find, and when paired with their wellness add-on you can truly rest easy knowing most veterinary expenses will be reimbursed.

The ASPCA pet insurance has several unique benefits that other providers lack, which might make this option more attractive to you. For instance, there is no maximum age limit for coverage. All cats and dogs are eligible for the ASPCA’s pet insurance coverage regardless of their health.

The plans do cover alternative therapies, behavioral issues, and prescription food and supplements, which other providers often charge as additional add-on features. Plus, they’re one of the few providers who now offer 100% reimbursement (after your deductible is met). ASPCA costs are are on par with other competitive rates, and pet owners can build custom plans to fit their personal budget."

Peace of Mind

I bought insurance for our new puppy because my wife wanted it. I only needed basic, just in case. I liked the options that you gave and it’s for piece of mind, just in case we need it for a major surgery. I expected it to cost more, nice surprise.

Good Service

For the most part the claims are processed quickly and I never have any trouble putting through my claims. My dog is really sick right now and it helps to have this coverage even though it won't be sufficient to cover the whole surgery.
